Updated: 14th March

On the 7th of Feburary 2018, Linkedin announced that they will be removing the share count figure on their buttons along with the API used to retrieve the counts.

As a result of this change, newer articles in BuzzSumo will not have a Linkedin share count available. However, you are still able to view the counts for older articles in our Most Shared feature for the time being.

We will continue to display Linkedin counts there until at least March 30th 2018 for any users who wish to view or download data before then.

We know many of our users value the Linkedin share counts so we are currently investigating alternative data sources and have reached out to Linkedin directly in order to try and work out a solution.

Introducing the B2B Publishers Filter

We're familiar with the value these share counts provided when trying to surface B2B content. As an alternative we have introduced a new B2B Publishers filter:

This allows you to narrow your search down to just B2B publishers and surface more business content. It works particularly well for searches like SEO and sales that otherwise can get crowded with regular publishers.

We hope this is useful to you and please let us know if you have any feedback on the filter.

We'll keep this page updated with any new developments if you wish to bookmark it. You can also read Linkedin's announcement here: https://developer.linkedin.com/blog/posts/2018/deprecating-the-inshare-counter

Please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any other questions.
